Captain's Log
Captain's Log, - The Highlanders' Kiss
Date: 6th day of May, Year 1719
Arrr, today I be thinkin' 'bout that time when me life be changed fer good. It was back in the year 1656—aye, long ago—when the wind was blowin' strong and the salty sea ran through me veins. I was a young, fiery rascal then, hungry to make a name fer meself on these treacherous waters.
That day, I led a bold raid on Tortuga—place full of chaos and chance, aye. It was a risky gamble, a true test o' fate. We fought fierce, I got struck bad—stabbed and bleedin’, teeterin’ on the brink o’ death. Felt like the darkness was gonna swallow me whole.
But luck, as it often does, shined on a brave pirate like me. In the shadows, I was saved by the Highland Rogues—pirates as fierce and legendary as the sea herself. They patched me up, kept me breathin’, and from that moment, I knew I’d found a new crew, a new purpose.
Their fierce spirit and independence fired me up. I learned from the best, grew stronger, and more stubborn. That day in Tortuga, I was forged in fire—resilient and tough as old oak. It’s that grit that’s carried me through storms and battles since then.
Now, I stand here as Captain of the Highlander’s Kiss. I carry scars and stories from that time—reminders of where I come from and what drives us. All the legends we spin, the infamy we’ve earned, and the obstacles we've faced—it's all started that fiery day.
I be Haitian Red, captain of this fine vessel. Every time I set sail on these wild waters, I do so with the strength born from a near-death encounter that set me on a path to carve our names into the history books.
